Bobby Borg
Bobby Borg, MCM is a former major label, independent, and DIY recording/touring artist with over 30 years experience working along side the most respected musicians, songwriters, managers, producers, and A&R executives in the music industry.
He also served as the VP of Special Events for the Los Angeles chapter of the American Marketing Association, Interim Chairman of Music Business at Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, California, and a lecturer of music business at institutions like Berklee College of Music, University of Miami, and University of California Los Angeles Extension where he was awarded by students and staff as “Distinguished Instructor.”
Borg is also an adjunct professor at USC Thornton School of Music where he teaches Music Industry Communications and DIY Music Marketing. He also runs Bobby Borg Consulting, where he helps independent artists and music business professionals turn their art into a more successful business.
As a music business author, Borg has written four widely read books: Music Marketing For The DIY Musician, Business Basics For Musicians, The Musicians Handbook, introduction to Music Publishing For Musicians and over 1,000 highly publicized magazine and blog articles for Billboard.com, Hypebot, SonicBids, Music Connection, Disc Makers, Band Zoogle, and more. Currently he is working on a new book with Michael Eames of PEN Music Group called Intro To Music Publishing For Musicians to be released Spring 2021 with Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group.
A life-long learner, Borg holds a BA in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music, certificates in Marketing Management, Project Management, and Instructor Development from UCLA, and a Masters degree in Communications Management (Phi kappa Phi) from the University of Southern California. He lives in Los Angeles.
Seven Bailey
Seven Bailey has over 20 years of music industry experience and is best known as a producer for his work with Murder INC in the early 2000’s. As a musician, he has played and toured with some of the top artists in the music industry. As an engineer, he has been a part of Emmy Award-winning and Grammy-nominated projects. As an artist manager and manager consultant, he has over 10 years of experience building and developing artists’ careers.
In academia, Bailey holds a Master of Arts in Music Industry Administration (CSUN) and a bachelor’s degree in Recording (California State University, Dominguez Hills). Currently he teaches various music industry and production classes at CSUN, CSUDH and Compton College. In the world of business, he is the CEO and president of Omnes Records and Little White Lotus Studios.

Anika Paris
Anika Paris is a CRIA double platinum award-winning songwriter who has worked for EDEL/Sony, Warner Bros, Universal, Polygram and APM. In the past year, she scored her first documentary called “Light Years. Her voice can be heard on “Anthony Bourdain,” “Sex in the City,” “Bounce,” “Wise Girls,” “So You Think You Can Dance,” “See Jane Date” and more. She is the only female composer for WB Telepictures, with music licensed to networks such as ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, Lifetime, HBO, Oxygen, MTV to name a few.
Anika earned her BA in Film and Music and her eclectic style is rooted from years of working and composing for live theatre, television and film, as well as contemporary styles of today. As a recording artist, she has released 5 solo projects and shared the stage with such notables as Stevie Wonder, John Legend and John Mayer.
Anika is an author of two educational books Making Your Mark in Music and Five Star Music Makeover. She teaches and guest lectures at Musicians Institute, the Grammy, USC and UCLA Extension Entertainment Studies. She is a board member for the Musicians Foundation, a platinum member of (SONA) Songwriters of North America and a voting member of NARAS (Grammys).
Hunter Scott
Hunter Scott, Co-Founder and President of TREND, has established his reputation for innovation, integrity, and imagination in today’s ever-changing climate. It began with an idea: that the new digital era could empower forward-thinking musicians willing to partner in their own success.
Established in 2008, TREND is a full-service PR firm focusing on press outreach, lifestyle branding, and social media management. In addition to running TREND, Hunter teaches music marketing at UCLA Extension and serves as the Chairman of the Board of The Musicians Foundation, a non-profit that provides scholarships for music and music business education.
An engaging panelist and speaker, Hunter shares his knowledge at seminars and panels produced by SESAC, ASCAP, The GRAMMY Museum, CD Baby, Cutting Edge Business Conference, NAMM, and MIDEM, among others. Hunter is profiled alongside luminaries, including former Grammy president Neil Portnow and Gene Simmons (KISS) in the book It All Begins with the Music.
Gary Greenberg
Gary Greenberg is a music attorney with over 30 years of experience in the music industry. Mr. Greenberg runs his own firm in Los Angeles, representing such clients as the Contestants for the Voice, Jimmy Cliff, Fantasia, and the producers of Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott and Post Malone. He co-wrote the popular music industry book, Everything You’d Better Know About the Record Industry and the American Bar Association handbook, How to Build and Manage an Entertainment Law Practice. Mr. Greenberg brings a unique perspective to his law practice because of his history as a professional drummer for artists like Sergio Mendes and Bone Thugs ‘n Harmony.
Jonathan Larr
Jonathan Larr is an entertainment attorney at Icarus Law, PC in Los Angeles. Icarus Law is a boutique transactional entertainment law firm whose clients include recording artists, songwriters and producers. Mr. Larr has over a decade of experience in the industry both as a lawyer and, formerly, as an artist manager. He has written extensively for publications including the LACBA Entertainment Law Journal as well as Hypebot. He also edits the LACBA Entertainment Law Journal and sits on the board for numerous charities including City of Hope FutureHope, Notes for Notes and Musicians at Play.
Robert Teegarden
As a graduate of CSUN’s M.A. Music industry Administration program and an experienced instructor in the music industry field, Robert Teegarden brings academic and practical experience to his classes. He has extensive experience in music publishing, distribution and promotion. He spent more than 10 years working in the fields of copyright, licensing and royalty accounting. At Universal Music Group, he licensed products configurations and served as the single point of contact for all new-media royalty payments. He was a major contributor to several system and label integrations throughout the business. He also has led workshops on leadership, owns a video production and ecommerce business, and consults for small businesses.
Without intellectual property protection, there is no music business to study. There would be no products to sell, no money to be made and no artist to be promoted. Intellectual property protection is the basis of the existence of the music industry, and Teegarden understands the issues related to protecting the artist and the company.
Pablo Mathiason
Pablo Mathiason is a music executive with over 25 years experience in discovering, developing and marketing talent. He has hands on experience in A&R, social media, marketing, music publishing, music clearances, music supervision, touring and merchandising. Mr. Mathiason's positions over the years include director of Artist Relations for Greenpeace USA, Director of A&R for Starbucks Entertainment and for Jive Records, and Executive for Chrysalis Music and Zomba Music Publishing.
